LIVE AND RECORDED
INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO RESOURCES
The Society has entered into a
number of non-exclusive agreements with
internationally-acclaimed and renowned chantors and experts
of Byzantine Music to provide a series of instructional
digital resources that are unique and that reflect what the
consensus of musical scholars and Orthodox chantors
considers historically accurate as well as scientifically
and scholarly tenable and evidence/fact-based.
We are happy to introduce a large volume of digital video
material that covers the bulk of the ANASTASIMATARION,
taught by Mr. George Hatzichronoglou, Archon Hymnodist of
the Great Church of Christ. Please contact the
Society for instructions to access
this video material.
We are also pleased to present a collaboration between the
Society and Dr. Nick Giannoukakis, Protopsaltis-Greek
Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh and Protopsaltis of
St-Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh, PA,
USA, for a live streaming once-weekly practical session (90
minutes) of relevant ANASTASIMATARION material taught in
English. Access to the live streams as well as
previously-recorded sessions is available upon
request.
Last, we are equally delighted to present a collaboration
between the Society and Mr. Apostolos Combitsis,
Protopsaltis-Greek Orthodox Church of St-Barbara, Toms
River, NJ, USA, for a live streaming practical session (and
pre-recorded material) on material covering the Orthodox
Holy Week. Please contact the
Society for instructions on access.
